Security Engineer
Help build and maintain the security infrastructure that protects Fortune 500 companies from identity fraud, deepfakes, and nation-state infiltration attempts.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain security controls for our identity verification platform
- Conduct threat modeling and vulnerability assessments against emerging attack vectors (deepfakes, synthetic identity, document forgery)
- Develop and improve network forensics capabilities for VPN/proxy detection and geolocation analysis
- Implement and monitor security logging, alerting, and incident detection systems
- Collaborate with the liveness detection team to harden anti-spoofing measures
- Contribute to SOC 2 Type II compliance efforts and security documentation
- Participate in on-call rotation for security incident response
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in security engineering, application security, or a related role
- Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, and cryptographic protocols
- Experience with cloud security (GCP preferred, AWS/Azure acceptable)
- Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript or Go
- Familiarity with identity verification, biometric systems, or fraud detection
- Understanding of compliance frameworks (NIST 800-53, SOC 2, GDPR, CCPA)
Nice to Have
- Experience with document fraud detection or forensic analysis
- Knowledge of DPRK/nation-state cyber threat landscape
- Background in machine learning for anomaly detection
- Contributions to open-source security tooling
